Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (CreCal)

Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (CreCal)

The current global demand for high-quality paper, paint, adhesive/sealant, and plastic industries also make precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) be greatly demanded. Precipitated Calcium Carbonate or Light Calcium Carbonate is generally made from a high purity calcium carbonate rock called limestone. It has the same chemical formula as Ground Calcium Carbonate (GCC) but requires more complicated chemical processes.

There are many unique features that make PCC stands out. After being subjected to chemistry,  the resulting PCC is extremely white (as it has been removed impurities) and typically has a crystalline form and uniform narrow particle size distribution. As a result, it brings the best whiteness and opacity, significant features in paint or paper production. One more special thing about PCC is that it is super light compared to other powder chemicals. Hence PCC is more suitable for advanced applications that require lightness such as rubber or shoes, …

PCC mostly used as fillers, additives, and reinforcements. PCC main applications are paint, paper and plastics as it brings better whiteness, smooth surface and good coverage. In TLD Vietnam, we supply PCC with an extensive range of grades to fulfill our customer’s requirements in various industries such as paint, plastics, rubber, ink, …Our PCC is assured to optimise performance in specific applications. Precipitated Calcium Carbonate is sold under the trade name Crecal with grades from T to Y. Each grade is designed to easily meet specifications that you – our customers demand.
